Our Story

Jackson and I first met in Ocean City, NJ in June 2001. Some of you are probably thinking wait you both went to the same high school!?!? So how did we meet for the first time? Jackson and his family were on vacation the same week my friends and I were in Ocean City. On this one particular day, my friends and I were kicked out of our shore house for reasons that I won't mention :) Jenni Klepac and I didn't want our vacation to end so we went home, unpacked, repacked, then came right back down to Ocean City to stay with Jackson, Guy, and their family at their shore house for a night. We had a great time walking on the boardwalk and going to the beach the next day. And to think that is how it all started! :)
So when I left for Kean University in August 2001, to start field hockey then classes in September and Jackson started his junior year in high school, we were just friends. I came home on weekends to see my family, and friends because I was home sick! On September 15, 2001 after we hanging out with some friends, Jackson and I went out for a bite to eat and that's when we officially started dating. :)

The rest is history! We both supported and encouraged each other through college, I graduated in May 2005 from Stockton and Jackson graduated in May 2006 from Camden County College. The following May Jackson went through the grueling Cape May County Police Academy (along with his best man, Dave Ringer) and started his quest in becoming a police officer. Jackson has been and continues to be my strength as I work toward my career goals.

Engagement

We have a renewed sense of love whenever we are in Ocean City, NJ. Being creative, Jackson decided to propose on the beach in Ocean City in February 2006. On February 25, 2006, after one of my hockey games, Jackson told me that we are going out, not to get fancy, and to bring a sweatshirt. I was a bit tired after my game, so he told me to relax, and to close my eyes (for the length of the drive to Ocean City). Of course being persistent I questioned why to keep my eyes closed, but he wouldn’t give up any clues on where we were going. I had ideas of where, but never guessing Ocean City at the end of February (not the time of year to be going to the beach). I also appreciated the nap.

We arrived in Ocean City and he told me I could now open my eyes, and I thought cool Ocean City! We walked on the boardwalk, then on the beach, just like we did back in 2001! Then at the 8th street beach, we stopped to watch the ocean waves hit the beach. It was a bit brisk with the ocean breeze, not freezing though (thank god), so he stood behind me and wrapped his arms around me. After a couple minutes of just listening to the waves, he took the ring out of his pocket….and that’s how the story went. :) (I’ll leave the mushy details out for the guys) :)

Our Wedding

Our families are very important to both of us. We also wanted to keep our wedding fairly small, including the bridal party and we wanted to keep our wedding family oriented. (Without family where would we be) Jackson's best man is Dave Ringer, and two groomsmen are Jackson's brother, Guy Collins, and my brother, Billy Visalli. My maid of honor is my sister Arielle Visalli, and two bridemaids are Jackson's sister, Jenn Harrington, and Megan Murphy, soon to be Mrs. Collins, Guy's fiance. We have a special bond with each one in our wedding party and are so honored they are celebrating this day with us. We want to say a special thank you to our parents, for all of the love and support, who helped this day become a dream come true!
The beach is very important to us, so we decided to have a beach-themed wedding. We are having an outside ceremony to include the beach atmosphere: sand, sea shells, and a special surprise. Our ceremony will start at 5:30pm on June 5 at Antony and Cleopatra Caterers with the cocktail hour and reception immediately following.

Our Reception

Following the cocktail hour, will be the buffet style dinner, then on to the fun part of the night, the dancing! Bob Morgan Entertainment will be the DJ to keep us movin' and groovin' throughout the night.

A Special Message From Us

In advance, we want to thank everyone for coming to have a fun and exciting time to celebrate our marriage!
